Fun and Frolic at INME Camp-Grade 6 and 7.

"Adventure isn't hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Adventure is an attitude that we must apply to the day to day obstacles of life - facing new challenges, seizing new opportunities, testing our resources against the unknown and in the process, discovering our own unique potential", says Jonh Amatt. Keeping this larger vision, we boarded our buses at 6 A.M. on the 26th of October 2009.
Day 1-The Bus Day or The Buzzzzzzzzzzzzz day
We, the Inventure kids, known for our sense of curiousity, asked innumerable questions to our teachers: Mrs. Mallika Fernandez, Mrs. Meenakshi Elangovan, and Mrs. Helen Gilbert about the activities and time we would reach the Inme camp. We reached Kabbinakadu at 3 P.M. and we were picked up by the Honey Valley Resort people in rugged jeeps which were suitable for the mountian terrain. It was a terrific roller coaster ride which both wobbled and scared us. We assembled for an introductory session after the lunch and Gaurav, the boss of the camp, got us acquainted with the Inme guys and gals and the rules of Inme. We broke into three groups - Adventurers, Anonymous and Purple Flying Pigs!

Our Bus Ride to Coorg.
We dispersed into our groups and went on a long tiring trek. We discovered the terrain, features, fauna and flora of the region. It left us gasping to see the "Mini Beasts" as we termed the insects that stormed our dorms after sunset.
Day 2 - The Zapp Day-Camp out for Anonymous
We started our day with "The Elastic Limbs", a fun way to stretch and move. We whirled our hips to do "Jogujja" and laughed at the way others did it. We broke into two groups, as we had an exciting day ahead. We now had Anonymous and CARS(Coorg All Rounders).
The Anonymous group left for Rope Activities after breakfast and CARS left to do the Rock Climbing. Anonymous did the "The Flying Squirrel", which left them zapped. They were elevated up a rope to a high branch of a tree and then zoomed down to reach Terra Firma in high speed.

The Flying Squirrel
The Anonymous also did the "Wobbly Rope" and the "Vine Rope" activity after. The "Wobbly Rope" was a pair activity in which they had to walk on a pair of ropes taking support from each other. The "Vine Rope" was an individual activity which required a lot of concentration.

The CARS went for Rock Climbing and had loads of fun. They climbed a rock which had a height of over 60 feet and then rappled down it. They treked over 4 km to reach the climbing site.

After lunch, the Anonymous geared up for their Night Out. They carried tents, sleeping bags, medicines, groceries, kitchen utensils, and everything else that they need to rough it out in the wild.

All set to go

We made our own tents - Whoa! That was fun

Abhilash turned the boring baked beans into a lip smacking spicy curry!
CARS had a great time doing the "Friendship Ladder" and the other activities.
Day 3 - Anonymous back in the Base Camp and it is CARS's Turn to Camp.

"Yes!It's our turn to go!"

We are ready for our bit of fun! :-)
Anonymous did the "Friendship Ladder" and tried thier hand at the Target Jump.
After lunch, Anonymous got an insight on how to handle snakes. We realised that we already had people who were more than ready for the act. Gaurav, the Inme boss showed us his card and rope tricks and even taught us how to do them.

"Tej, the snake handler!"

We greatly agreed to Manasi's insight that the snakes are better off in the wild than being handled by group of kids.
Then, it was the time for the Shooting Lesson for Anonymous.

"Anish seems to aiming at the photographer - looks scary."

"Abhilash shot to fame with his perfect aim."
Day 4 - Rock climbing for the Anonymous, CARS returns from the Camp Out - A magical day for everyone.
Anonymous went Rock Climbing and the CARS did the "Friendship Ladder" after their return. But the afternoon was magical with Uday Jadugar. He started with a puzzle for us and we flabbergasted the Inme team by solving it in a minute!

After dinner, we danced our way to glory to foot tapping numbers from Bollywood and Kollywood.
Day 5 - Helter Skelter and the journey back to Bengaluru.
The day started late and we were asked to pack our bags before we came down for breakfast. We gave a tough time to our teachers, Mallika Ma'am, Helen Ma'am, and Meenakshi Ma'am, as we competed for the Disorganised Messy Cup by leaving our things all around tha place, while our teachers went around collecting the lost and found and finding the owners of those artciles.
The days had flown by and we came to reality when we saw the jeeps lined up for our return and the gruelling 8 hours drive made us more impatient and the Bangalore traffic added fuel to fire. We entered into the portals of Inventure cheering for the group and smiling faces of our parents exhilarated and elated us.
