THE TOURNAMENT OF MINDS-SENIOR SCHOOL

On February 19th the Tournament of Minds, an Interhouse Cultural competition was held at Inventure Academy. Though it was a Saturday all the students were very enthusiastic about the various events that were going to take place. They did not miss there fun weekend as they knew the there could be nothing more interesting and amazing to do than be a part of the tournament of Minds. All houses were prepared for battle to win the Inventure Cultural Cup.

The list of events being the Quiz, Group dance & song, Solo dance & song, Instrumental music, debate…………the list was long and so was the enthusisam and the vigour. There was a scurry of activity.Teachers and the student council braced themselves with the list of duties and the events so that everything goes on smoothly. The media pod had to cover a lot of events as two to three events being held simultaneously. It was great to see so much talent on one platform and even more happening to see every event having such neck to neck competition.

Quiz was the most awesome part of the Tournament of Minds for me, I participated in it. All the four houses the Inventors, the adventurers, the venturers and the nurturers had a team of three players one from each grade 9, 10 & 11. There were totally 7 rounds on GK, sports, audio, visual. This involved a lot of team work and we as a team coordinated well by discussing and then answering. The environment throughout was very relaxing and calm with a great support from our equally amazing audience. We, the Inventors performed quiet well and came second with 45 points having lost by just 5 points. Though we are not the ones who give up so easily, we are sure to have a great comeback next year with a bounce.

Our tournament of minds ended with the group dance performance with a variety of dances from various houses. The dance, the music, the debate which made us think, the quiz which challenged our brain... and i can go on and on....

“Everything went as it was planned, clearly, without difficulties. This is a great success.” Everyone was glad as all the houses had done their best. Now the only thing that everyone awaited was the result for the Inventure cultural cup.

A few days ago, on the 2nd of March the champions of the Inventure cultural cup were announced and the winners were none other than the Inventors. I was very happy and the whole house danced with Joy. At last we had won……
